About the event

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of laughter and wit as ArtsXchange and She Pirate Productions present the ultimate clash of creativity: The Head 2 Head Dad Joke Slam! Taking place on Saturday, June 17th at 8pm, the ArtsXchange will play host to an epic showdown between Team Comedy Improv and Team Poet.

These two teams will engage in a battle of wits, delivering their best jokes and puns in a series of three rounds. Each round will test their comedic prowess and ability to make the audience roar with laughter. Expect a hilarious face-off as the teams bring their A-game, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for victory.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! As a bonus, a final round will be presented, where both teams will be challenged to unleash their ultimate dad jokes, leaving the audience in stitches. Who will come out on top? The judges will have the difficult task of determining the winner. Hosted by the esteemed Nicholas Tecosky from Write Club Atlanta with Theresa Davis as partner in pun!

Bio coming soon!

Mistafunn

Born at a very young age Mistafunn learned from the mistakes of others who took his advice. They say a good father never plans. He smiles because he has conditioned his children to believe duct tape can fix anything. Sawdust is man glitter and without adult supervision chocolate cake is a breakfast food. As the creator of the Daddy's Log: Adventures in the People's Republic of Children, Mistafunn tells the tale of his cultural immersion into the lives of his children.

Marq G.L., formally known as Quez, is a poet/writer, performer and a cool ass blerd. He's been a part of the Atlanta local poetry scene and the National circuit for over well over a decade and has been a member of the Java Monkey and Art Amok Slam Teams.

Tickets for this rib-tickling event are available at $15 in advance and $20 at the door. So mark your calendars and prepare to witness the clash of comedic and poetic titans at the ArtsXchange. Bragging rights, trophies and collar-popping are on the line, making this a night you won't want to miss!

This program is in partnership with South Fulton Institute.
